[she's out near the swamp! sitting on a stump of some kind, staring into a box. she's in her default clothes, which means her glowing red chest is more prominent. her tail sways back and forth behind her. she seems lost in thought.]
[after the npc reveal, laudna can be found sitting out near the pyre on her own, with pâté fluttering nearby. she has her long hair hanging down over her face and she's clearly talking to herself out loud.]
...Still nothing from you? How long are you going to give me the silent treatment? You're useless!
[laudna can be found on monday exploring the new living situation. she's outside the mortuary now, reading the plaque. also, she's still wearing her gown, but she has dark ink in the shape of tree branches spreading across her body, similar to the branch pattern on the lace of her skirt and bodies. a few words in the ink become visible. right now you can see Did Delilah make you do that?
[in any other situation that might be a super rad tattoo, honestly, but - she's seen a few people with these things at this point. so she doesn't bring it up just yet.]
Morning. [she kind of stutter skips on this because she was about to use the nickname she'd mentally assigned and then second-guessed herself. a beat.] You good? Where'd you end up?
[she's got a tattoo of her own - just the word AVERNUS, settled nicely in white against her arm.]
Edited (I PRESSED ENTER TOO SOON) 2024-06-11 02:39 (UTC)
[yes, that's okay. she's like. a little less completely smiling and weirdly cheerful like she was the night before? though she still smiles and does a little wave, but it's just a bit more hesitant.]
[let's explore new locations while we also experience the wonders of affection week. laudna is at the clothing store, inspecting the invisible sewing machine and poking through the available options.]
With a little embroidery and some darts, this seems perfectly serviceable.
laudna is out by the island, since that's where everyone was found. it's not as though they're likely to find new clues out here, but it feels strange to just not acknowledge it.]
all thoughts of the gas station are out. there's a long pause, as karlach just kind of... tries to figure out what happened there. as she pieces together things she knew, and what she now knows, and then:]
What the fuck.
[she actually sounds like a mix of sad and angry - her heart aches. used. used, for someone else's goals, thrown away and left.]
[well. i don't have much to say about this one. this is rough. i think laudna is hanging out by the pyre, doing her embroidery, crying nasty looking black goopy tears silently to herself.]
[she will investigate the barking, yes! normally she might be unsure about it (not extremely dog phobic but a bit wary of ones she doesn't know) but it's alpha week so why not.]
she's ramming her fists against the bubble when laudna arrives, bright yellow eye turning to look at her. karlach grins widely, all of her teeth showing, long and sharp.]
[after everything has calmed down, she's still here! she's sitting somewhere in the vineyard, staring up at the sky. slightly transparent, and if you touch her she's cold and your hand goes through, but. better than nothing, right?]
