[ her back tenses at the touch, but it eases just a little with ears folding back tighter. then she smiles but it's not really there. ]

Yeah, it's fine until you get treated like someone's pet most your life for it.

[ a wave of her hand. IT'S FINE ]

[she does not pet, she just keeps her hand there for a second, and then pulls it away.]

Ugh. That's fucking annoying. [her tail flicks.] Well, I don't think you're someone's pet. You're a person. So.

Not everything thinks that way. There's always gonna be some people that will treat me differently.
