I've never played them before, so we're in the same boat. We've got like... the circus, but that's more performances and shows than games like this.

One time I got turned into cheese, at the circus.

You went to the cirus?

......... You what?

Yeah! There was one in the Gate before I got here, with a clown and everything.

And a nasty cheating djinn who turned me into cheese because I accused him of cheating. Not forever. [obviously, karlach,]

I went to a circus once too, but I didn't get to do anything special, or even see the attractions...

[ I only went there to steal from their garbage...

I couldn't really show myself around other people like this, so...

[ ... ]

But I ended up meeting one of the performers, and we became friends. So in a way, that brief time at the circus is one of the fondest memories I have.

Funny, isn't it, how you find friends in unusual places like that. [...] Are you still friends?

Yes. She's a very precious friend to me.

Good. I'm glad. [warmly.] So that's one good memory of a place like this.

And we'll ride the big wheel and make a second good memory, what d'you say?

I'd love that.

Have you had ice cream before? [as they're heading to the wheel]

I liked it a lot.

[the mention of karma makes her a little like... sad, but not in an oppressive way.]

They've got it here too, you know? Robin and I had some. I'd never had it before.

Then we should get some, too. I bet they have a lot of different kinds.

[ they reach the wheel and she's looking up at it in wonder, taking in how tall it is...

but also, she's looking over the machinery and the control panel, with stray thoughts of so this makes that move, and that... ]

[she follows easily enough, and when they look up at the wheel, she half-grins.]

I don't know much about machines, but I think they're very interesting. Just seeing how lots of smaller parts work together...
