It seems he might help liven things up around here, though, so I can't complain.

Yeah, I'm happy about that much, at least. He's good with people and not as scary looking, so - might help with morale.

There's so much I want to read about. The history and geography of distant worlds, magic and machines I've never before dreamed of...

What's your favorite bit of history you've read? D'you have one?

A lot of the writings here talk about a group of mages... oh, but the order of paladins sounds especially interesting. We don't have anything like that where I'm from... knights and sorcery and the like.

I think you'd like some of the places where I'm from, if you like that sort of thing.

I sort of like the paladins. Magic's not my thing, but they're tough fuckers. You'll want to stay out of the way of the smiting business, it hurts.
