Someone would have to do some very powerful necromancy for that to happen, my dear. And I would gut them before they could.

[ .... ]

I'm aware.

[ and he really is, which is something to realise in and of itself. ] Doubtful that it's something to worry about though, as the biggest culprit is dead.

He’d bloody better not. Can you imagine?

[ it’s pomp and it’s flippant, but there’s something a little quieter in his tone. ]

… I’ve… never really thought about it. Take a long bath, probably. And then I suppose we have that Netherbrain to deal with…

[ thinking about after is a bit too much though. he doesn’t want to answer the question “what will happen when that tadpole is gone?” — he won’t be immediately under cazador’s thumb anymore, but would he be able to walk in the sun still? ]

[ CONGRATS ON YOUR NON CHAINSAWED HAND, KARLACH. ]

... A little. I keep getting reminded of that, when I speak to Gale.

[ "well we were planning on doing this to deal with the Netherbrain" "oh, were we?" and then he just gazes into the distance. ]

Did he try that with you as well? Blowing up the Netherbrain?

Even I picked up on it. Had to talk him down from it, regardless, but I still noticed.

[ what WERE the other them doing? ]

Maybe he was just better at hiding it. It sounds like in his version, he was the one… leading everyone, essentially. In mine, I was. And I suspect in yours, you were.

It’s a lot easier to hide something when people are turning to you, rather than you turning to them.

[ our origins babies. ]

Mm. If he were doing the proverbial cat herding, we'd all be looking to him and I don't think he'd have had much of a chance to sit down and talk about his thoughts on it in great detail. [ which is... annoying. ]

Oh, like proverbial cat herding. [ DON'T SAY THAT AGAIN. ] None of you have mutinied, so that's a pleasant surprise.
