anyway, the dog whines, following after him. obviously he trusts rondo to take care of the situation. karlach, on the other hand, startles when she hears rondo's voice, looking up at him. he can probably tell that it's similar to what he might have felt last week, only it's her that it's happening to.]

[she seems like, for a moment, that she's going to resist, or brush it off, but after a moment, she does give him her hands. she's very, very warm. she won't burn him or anything, but.
her face is just screwed up in a permanent grimace, breath coming harshly out her nose.]
okay. he's fully expecting karlach to have an extremely strong grip, so rondo prepares himself for it. it's how he got himself through this kind of pain attack over the weekend - grip hard, and... ]

[ there's an immediate, warm encouragement when she follows him, though it's no less stressed, no less worried, sort of helplessly espoused in the need to try and make things better, to try and help. he squeezes back, white knuckling her hand. ] In, and out.
[it takes - a bit. maybe a couple of minutes. deep breaths, eyes closing finally. scratch, in the background, whines every so often, but doesn't interrupt.
and finally, when it seems to subside, or at least just cool off enough, she exhales very harsh and thuds her head against the wall behind her.]
[ throughout the two minutes he keeps it up - deep breaths, quiet encouragement here nad there his gaze flicks worriedly from her chest to her face, watching that engine heart of hers. the worry of the memory share persists, and the empathy of that awful, aching pain from last week, how absolutely debilitating it was.
as it slows, he lets out a noise - a tiny, huff of a helpless not quite laugh, a noise of relief. ]
[ oh you hate to hear that. he thinks about his own attacks over the weekend - how debilitating they were, and he squeezes her hand, now petting over the other one. there's something a little crestfallen on rondo's face, because it's such a terrible reminder of what could come. what will come. ]
Every other day or so, now. [sighs.] ... Hey - while I'm thinking about it, I've got this thing from Sunday. It puts out a fire. It'll be in the Mortuary if I can't get it, alright?
